Starting from Bibione there are several itineraries for daily trips to discover historic place, unique landscapes, supported with our typical cuisine and famous wines. Concordia Sagittaria: this agricultural centre has been the stage of two thousand years of history that speak through one of the most fascinating architectural sites of the Roman and Early-Christian Ages in this area. Concordia Sagittaria was an important Roman colony, like you can see in the arcs of the Roman bridge, the theatre, the forum and the thermal baths. You can admire the great Bizantine Baptistery too. Near Concordia you find Sesto al Reghena, where in a fairy tale like landscape, you see the Benedictine Abbey of Santa Maria in Sylvis, a building of Longobards origin. Along the path of history we reach the near XII cent.. town of Portogruaro, where time seems to stand still. The precious facades of the palaces in Venetian gothic style frame the historic centre. All of you know the famous city like Venice, Trieste, Acquileia, every one only one hour far from Bibione. Every step through this land – settled between the sea, lagoon and rivers – discloses to the visitors a small piece of history, but at the same time it also offer you the disposability to discover along the Wine Street – between Veneto and Friuli regions – several wineries where you can stop and taste our famous wine.
